Weekly Roundup
/This 1926 ad for radiators is what nightmares are made of.
Speaking of nightmares, what happened in Charlottesville last weekend was atrocious. It wasn't the first and won't be the last time we see such hate. Here are some things to do, a video to watch, an interview to listen to, articles to read, and organizations to donate to. I've also been listening to this artist and this album on repeat this week. Oh, and Tina Fey has a great idea.
I plan on eating my feelings with these Katharine Hepburn brownies this weekend. I like that lady and I love sweets.
Who else hates the "man cave" idea? Andy of Old Home Love doesn't care for it either, and on his Instagram Stories he recommended "lady lair" or "person place." I'm a total fan of those terms!
I've spent the last 9 days dealing with a nasty sinus infection. I meant to write a bunch of posts while I laid around waiting for the snot to subside, but I was way too sickly. Sorry for a single-post-week (again). I keep getting this bug, so I'll take any sinus infection remedies you may have for next time!
Is everyone ready for the eclipse in a couple of days? I picked up some solar sunglasses when I went shopping for new eyeglasses at Warby Parker the other day. I have some new spectacles headed my way and they are preeeeettttty different from my current frames. I won't spoil the surprise.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be spending the weekend eating Katharine Hepburn's brownies and pretending to be wearing her iconic wide-leg pant (which I can't pull off) while sitting in a banquette like The Happy Tudor's (which I don't have) all while listening to Solange.
