Weekly Roundup
/I’m in Seattle and I’ve had quite a week! Ross and I explored a bit of the city together (many thanks to all of your recommendations!) then Cathy of The Grit and Polish came to town and we hung out with Joanna of Jojotastic, too. While Ross stayed in town for work, Cathy drove me a couple of hours out of the city to her BEAUTIFUL farmhouse where I got to stay with her cute family (shout out to my new best friend, three-year-old Brooks!). I got to check out her latest renovations, drive by some of her older properties, and admire the tree that her 5-year-old trimmed - ha! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I like sharing travel videos in my Stories (check them all out saved to my highlights) but this time I’m going to try putting a travel video together for YouTube instead. Be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see my vids!
This blogging and Instagramming world can feel kinda weird, like I’m sometimes talking into an abyss. But it’s also so amazing in how it’s connected me to other home lovers that are now some of my dearest pals.
This is the mantel of my holiday dreams.
The Faux Martha is hosting a free minimal kitchen course in January. You can bet I signed up.
The sixth Still We Rise auction is live! The auction is a really great way to discover new shops while donating to important causes. The auction is exclusive on Instagram and make it super easy to bid on items while helping worthwhile organizations. To participate, just write your bid amount in the caption of the item you’re interested in. When you win, you make a donation in that amount to the selected organization, email the receipt to the auction organizer, then get your item in the mail! This season, proceeds are benefiting nonprofits Circle of Health and Families Belong Together and the items up for auction range for clothes, toys, art, decor, home goods, beauty, and more. Check it out!
Did you see Jean Stoffer’s new home shop? The kitchen is so pretty.
