Weekly Roundup
/This nearly original kitchen is adorable. I want that pantry wallpaper!!
You probably know by now that Ross travels a lot for work (he’s away from home 50% of the year). So, he had a gig in Los Angeles this past weekend and I tagged along! While he was at work, I met up with an internet friend, Erin, and I spent hours antiquing. I’m afraid I only came home with a couple of pieces of hardware and didn’t make much of a dent in my list of “things to thrift.” Oh well, next time. Here’s my guide to antique shops in LA.
My pal Cathy interviewed me and several of my home blogger friends about our home size. Get the full scoop here. Spoiler: Bigger isn’t always better. I expanded on my thoughts and shared how we live in our home here, too!
Oh my. Who knew I needed cranberry-colored kitchen cabinets!
I got stuck watching all of these artist videos for like, hours. So so good!
It’s not just Flint or Newark. Lead is showing up in drinking water all over the country. Here’s how it’s happening.
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Casey’s prep & cooking method is my favorite fun way to plan the meal. But here’s a much more reasonable cooking schedule.
I bought only one of these bras but it’s now my favorite (and yes, I wear it over and over and over) so I’m ordering more. They were out of stock until just this morning! Run, don’t walk!
I’ve been binging podcasts lately but I’m now trying to make an effort to read (and finish!) books. I have a stack on my bedside table, but I’m realizing I do a better job of finishing them if I listen to them as an audiobook. Did you know your local library often has free audiobooks? San Diego Public Library uses CloudLibrary and RBDigital apps, but your library might be a part of Libby, too. For the books I can’t find for free, I buy them through Libro.fm which benefits my local bookstore rather than big box book stores. Win win!
If you’re hunting for gifts this year, don’t forget to check out my gift guides!
We saw Marriage Story in theaters this week and it was SO good. It comes out on Netflix on December 6th! Save the date.
I’ve been looking into productivity apps that could help me focus and stay on track (as in, not spend 45 minutes scrolling through Instagram in the middle of the day). Do you have any suggestions?
Happy Friday!
